GMDSS Solution

Essential safety communications at sea

IEC Telecom provides satellite GMDSS solutions that help vessels transmit distress alerts, receive essential maritime safety information and communicate with rescue authorities.

With equipment options across Iridium and Inmarsat Maritime, we help vessel operators identify a suitable satellite safety system for their operating routes and onboard requirements. From new installations to equipment upgrades, our team supports the selection of terminals and services as part of the vessel’s wider GMDSS installation.

Use Cases

Equipping New Vessels

Select satellite GMDSS equipment to match the vessel’s intended trading area, bridge configuration and applicable requirements.

Upgrading Existing Systems

Review ageing safety communications equipment and explore replacement options suited to current operational needs.

Supporting Changing Routes
