IEC Telecom Malaysia was established in February 2026, becoming the Group’s third office in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region and further expanding IEC Telecom’s long-standing legacy and operational presence across the region. IEC Telecom Malaysia is the authorised Starlink reseller in the country, delivering certified connectivity solutions to local and regional customers.
The regional office is specialised in accelerating digitalisation in remote and underserved areas, where terrestrial networks are limited, congested, or unavailable. IEC Telecom Malaysia supports organisations delivering essential services by providing resilient connectivity for both communications on the move and communications on the pause.
For mobile operations, the company delivers compact connectivity ecosystems that transform vehicles into connected hubs, enabling real-time coordination, situational awareness, and secure data exchange suitable for first responders and field teams. These solutions combine satellite (LEO/GEO) and cellular networks to ensure continuity of service across urban, remote, and crisis-affected environments, supported by centralised network management with a wide range of value-added services.
For stationary deployments—whether in remote villages or isolated enterprise sites—IEC Telecom Malaysia provides resilient high-speed LEO connectivity to support digital operations in environments with limited or unreliable terrestrial infrastructure. These deployments enable stable access to operational communications, digital platforms, and essential services. For organisations operating within GSM coverage, IEC Telecom Malaysia brings a range of satellite backup solutions designed to safeguard business continuity in the event of network congestion or outages.
In parallel, IEC Telecom Malaysia further expands the Group’s offshore and maritime portfolio across Southeast Asia. Leveraging IEC Telecom’s extensive experience in maritime satellite communications, the office delivers comprehensive multi-orbit connectivity solutions for shipping, offshore operations, fisheries, and coastal fleets—covering corporate communications, crew welfare services, cybersecurity, and tracking capabilities.
Through close collaboration with regional partners, IEC Telecom Malaysia ensures strong local presence, responsive support, and scalable deployment. In parallel, the office leverages IEC Telecom Group’s global satellite operator ecosystem and more than three decades of experience in satcom industry.
