The upcoming edition of SMM will be held in Hamburg from 1 to 4 September 2026. SMM 2026 is the world’s leading maritime industry event, bringing together more than 2,200 exhibitors and around 45,000 visitors from all over the world. With five specialist conferences on decarbonisation, digitalisation, safety, and innovation, SMM is the international meeting place for shipowners, fleet operators, maritime technology providers, and industry decision-makers from across the globe.

IEC Telecom will participate with a dedicated stand inside the French Pavilion, organised by Business France, showcasing the Group’s capabilities across maritime connectivity, network management, and crew welfare solutions.

At SMM 2026, IEC Telecom will showcase a curated selection of hardware at its stand, starting with Starlink Gen 3, delivering high-throughput, low-latency connectivity for vessels of all sizes. Also on display will be the Peplink Balance 310X, which enables intelligent network bonding and seamless failover across multiple connections with advanced SD-WAN capabilities, and the Lars Thrane LT-4200S, which is a compact, certified GMDSS solution designed for reliable safety communications in demanding offshore and deep-sea environments. Rounding out the display, the Intellian Certus and radio product range offers proven multi-band satellite connectivity and integrated communication systems trusted across the commercial maritime sector.

At the solutions level, the Starlink Maritime portfolio would be on display, combining LEO, GEO, and LTE connectivity into a resilient, high-performance broadband solution for vessels of all sizes. Managed through OptiView, fleet operators gain real-time visibility, traffic management, performance analytics, and enterprise-grade cybersecurity across the entire fleet from a single portal.

IEC Telecom will also introduce Iridium PNT, a resilient positioning, navigation, and timing solution built to withstand GPS jamming and spoofing. Powered by Iridium’s low-Earth orbit constellation, it gives vessels a dependable backup source of location and timing data even when GPS signals are disrupted or unavailable.

A centrepiece of IEC Telecom’s showcase at SMM 2026 will be the European debut of the IEC Voucher Management System, a next-generation crew welfare and bandwidth management solution. Combining centralised fleet control through OptiView with an intuitive crew-facing portal for on-demand data access, the system gives operators full visibility and control while delivering a seamless connectivity experience for crew at sea.
