The much-awaited iconic Transat Jacques Vabre race is fast approaching. We are thrilled that many sailors have chosen IEC Telecom as a satcom partner for their journey.
The event officially kicks off on October 18, 2019 with the opening of the Festival Race Village in Le Havre, France and the racing event will commence with the lining up of 60 boats in the Bassin Paul Vatine on October 27, 2019, heading to the historic UNESCO World Heritage site in the port of Salvador, Brazil. In 24 years, the biannual event has become renowned as the toughest and longest-running two-handed transatlantic sailing race that takes place along the Route du Café. As the only race that bridges the hemispheres, the route is exceptionally challenging with meteorological pitfalls across 4,350 miles. Join IEC Telecom at Transat Jacques Vabre to cheer on the outstanding sailors and learn more about cutting-edge satellite communications products and solutions, especially geared for the maritime industry.
IEC Telecom has provided participants with a wide range of satcom products and solutions, including the cutting-edge Thales VesseLINK terminal, operating on the innovative Iridium CertusSM network. Participants will also avail of the IEC Telecom portfolio with Inmarsat FleetBroadband 250, FleetOne & Standard C, Iridium 9575 & Iridium GO to keep abreast of the competition as well as maintain constant communication.
IEC Telecom maritime experts, Richard Bastide and Jean-François Zuccaro (Maritime Account Managers, IEC Telecom Europe) will be at the Festival Race Village in Le Havre from October 22nd to 25th, 2019 to support the participants.
