Turkey is a strategic market in terms of maritime trade with its large commercial fleets and high level of technical awareness. At IEC Telecom, we are committed to supporting the maritime sector in building a robust digital backbone – resilient to cyber-attacks, future-ready communications infrastructure, and sustainable next-generation solutions. Our collaborations with shipowners, ship operators, and offshore companies in Turkey are focused on cybersecurity, network management, and smart traffic routing. We believe that business continuity is vital in today’s operational environment; and our expertise in the maritime sector helps us to work closely with our customers to resolve issues as quickly as possible. Our customers enjoy customised solutions for connectivity, long-term security, and performance – whether they operate large fleets or small businesses. For example, for a major tanker fleet, we developed a hybrid LEO-GEO internet infrastructure that saved up to 30% in annual communication costs per vessel. In another case, we allocated a separate quota from a client’s high-speed LEO satellite capacity for an IPTV application. In parallel, our team is dedicated to creating awareness about a comprehensive communications infrastructure that is affordable, accessible, and scalable.
