18 Nov 2020

The COVID-19 pandemic has escalated the drive towards digitalisation in the shipping industry. IEC Telecom is seeing a significant increase in interest in cyber security packages, particularly with the impending introduction of the International Maritime Organisation’s (IMO) cyber security resolution in January 2021. Effective cyber risk management should ensure an appropriate level of awareness of cyber risks and preparedness at all levels of an organisation, appropriate to roles and responsibilities and encourages the implementation of risk control processes and measures. As ships become more digitalised and dependent on data analysis, it is vital that you are able to verify and authenticate all data as it is recorded,” says Mr. Soussia.
